Sound Check Tone Generator provides sine tones of the exact frequencies to which a stock third-octave-band graphic equalizer is tuned to.
For a sound engineer, this is a handy tool to seek out the venue’s room resonances (aka “boom frequencies”, which, in a second step, you’ll want to attenuate using your graphic EQ).

It works.
Does what it says. My iphone 3g speaker can generate the high freqs very well... I cant hear them but my wife from 25 away.

Does what it says well. One problem Im getting—the upper frequencies are playing the same tone. 4k and 5k are playing the same frequency for sure, the higher frequencies could be my hearing but im pretty sure the top three are the same and then the next three down from that. Using an iPhone 4 with newest software.

A simple tone generator that works. What more do you need? Very handy for troubleshooting audio circuits & checking acoustics.
